How a deal earns a light

The clock only lights what we can point at. A neighborhood that stays dark is a neighborhood we have not verified, not a neighborhood with nothing happening.

Every published deal has a source URL on the merchant's own site or an official civic or chain page. We do not take Yelp, Groupon, Instagram, or a screenshot as the record.

A deal with no parseable time window cannot light. A deal last checked more than 14 days ago cannot light. Leads never publish.

Harvest of public specials pages is allowlisted, rate-limited, and attributed. We copy facts (hours, item, price), not blurbs. Expired windows stay visible as dim, then leave.
