Rooms that have picked a side.
Chicago is full of people who didn’t grow up here, and on game day it shows. These are the bars and restaurants that have said out loud which team is theirs, in their own words, with the day we read them.
We don’t rank them, and couldn’t if we tried. When a bar calls itself the premier Packers bar in America, that’s their quote, with their name on it.

Your team plays on the two thinnest days of the week.
Across everything we track, 237 places run a cheap hour on a Wednesday. On Saturday it’s 85, and on Sunday 94: about 40 per cent as many. The afternoon you most want to settle in for four hours is the one Chicago stops discounting. More on the weekend drop.
Every one of the 35 rooms, on the map.
For 6 of them we also track game-day specials, listed under each. For the other 29 we know the team but haven’t read the menu, so a blank means we haven’t looked, not that nothing’s on.

Missing your team?
So far that’s 11 of the 32 NFL teams and 10 college teams: what we could read, not a survey of the city.
Most fan clubs here live on Facebook or Instagram, and we can’t cite a page you need an account to see. That leaves some real team bars off this list, missing rather than guessed at.
Know a bar that’s claimed your team on its own website? Send us the page and we’ll read it ourselves.
Found, but left off
We found 6 more claims and left them off. A team missing because its claim went stale is different from a team nobody here has claimed, so here they are.
-
stale New Orleans Saints Frontier
The page says the room is your spot to watch Saints games all season long. It carries the dates 17 December 2023 to 7 January 2024, which is three seasons ago. www.thefrontierchicago.com
-
stale Alabama Crimson Tide Almost Home
The alumni association's list of chapter watch parties, headed 2025. There is no 2026 edition of it, and the room is not claimed anywhere else we could read. alumni.ua.edu
-
unreadable Buffalo Bills the official Bills Backers chapter list
The club's own chapter directory answers only to a search box we cannot drive, and prints nothing to a plain fetch. One Chicago Bills room is recorded from its own page instead. www.buffalobills.com
-
unreadable Green Bay Packers the Packers Everywhere bar finder
The team's own bar network draws its results straight into a Google map with no list behind it, so there is nothing to read or to cite. www.packerseverywhere.com
-
stale Clemson Tigers Trace
The page is still titled Home of Clemson Tigers Football and its entire body now reads that Trace is now Clover Wrigley. A title the room's own page contradicts is not a standing claim, and the room no longer trades under the name that made it. www.tracechicago.com
-
unreadable New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos and twelve more rooms a directory names but no room claims
Fifty-eight room and team pairs off a Chicago sports-bar directory, each one then looked up at the room's own domain. Three carried the claim in the room's own words. The rest say it nowhere we can read, and a directory's word about somebody else is not a source here. www.sportbarsinchicago.com
